There are 185 Documents in Rise of the Tomb Raider which can be found in various Locations throughout the game. These are divided into several subcategories. Finding some of these Documents will increase the Language Proficiency of Lara.

There are 185 Documents in 33 sets in the main game, including Murals and other inscriptions.

- Research Notes (6), Ana's diary containing notes on the progress of finding Kitezh, the Divine Source, and the Remnant

- Journal of Lord Croft (6), the diary of Lord Croft, containing his research notes and his frustration being stuck in a dead end, addressed to Lara
