Story

Main article: Jacqueline Natla

Jacqueline Natla, the former Ruler of Atlantis, got free from her crystalline prison in Los Alamos, New Mexico in the year 1945. She sets out to seek for the Scion - the artefact that'd grant her the power to return Atlantis to its glory.

It turns out during the events of Tomb Raider Underworld that despite her supposed death in Tomb Raider Anniversary, she survived and is looking for an ancient device called the Midgard Serpent to bring about the Seventh Age.

Unlockable Biography

By collecting 41 artefacts in Tomb Raider Anniversary the following biography is unlocked:

Jacqueline Natla is the owner and CEO of Natla Technologies, one of the world's largest electronics companies. She is the holder of several key computer hardware patents, and her research and development is one of the industry's most secretive and prolific innovators. Little is known about Miss Natla's private life other than she never gives interviews and rarely makes public appearances. Colleagues and business rivals alike say she is intimidatingly intelligent and a demanding perfectionist.

Powers

Natla is able to fly and throw fireballs. In Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider Underworld it is revealed that she's also able to teleport and shapeshift.

Strategy

Natla appears as a Main Boss in Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider Underworld and each of the fights requires a different strategy.

In Tomb Raider

Defeating Natla in the original Tomb Raider is fairly easy. Just keep moving, avoiding getting hit by the fireballs and shooting at Natla until you've brought down her winged form. But don't let her get you in a corner, since it makes you an immobile target for her harmful attacks.

In Tomb Raider Anniversary

In Tomb Raider Anniversary it is a bit more difficult to beat Natla. First you must destroy both of her wings. Then, you have to be able to perform succesful Adrenaline Dodges and headshots in order to make Natla stunned and then shoot the green glowing area at her back.. After she has been defeated an Interactive Cutscene follows, where Lara pulls a column at her.

In Tomb Raider Underworld

In Tomb Raider Underworld Lara can not defeat Natla by the usual way. She must destroy the Jörmungandr by revealing power nodes and destroying them by smashing them with the Thor's Hammer. After the last of the three nodes is destroyed, a cinematic shows the Jörmungandr falling over and Lara throwing the hammer at Natla.
