The Tyrannosaurus Rex (often abbreviated to T. Rex or T-Rex) is an enemy in the original Tomb Raider and its remake Tomb Raider Anniversary, as well as in Tomb Raider II, its add-on The Golden Mask and Tomb Raider III.
Its most recent appearance was in Lara Croft: Relic Run where it is a Boss in the Jungle Temple level.

Strategy
The T-Rex is an incredibly lethal adversary. One of the largest enemies in the original game, the T. Rex's long legs make for a large stride that can quickly gain on Lara and it's huge jaws can cause massive damage.
In the original Tomb Raider and also in Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III, the T-Rex can be defeated by simply shooting at it. It's good to find a safe spot e.g. a doorway from where to safely shoot this enormous dinosaur, since the it is simply too big and clumsy to follow Lara there.
Explosive Ammunition might come in handy when fighting, since they cause fairly much damage. But finding the ammunition isn't simple because of their rarity, unless one decides to cheat.
In Tomb Raider Anniversary it is almost mandatory to know how to perform an Adrenaline Dodge and a Headshot succesfully to beat the T-Rex. The goal in the fight is to get the enemy to hit the wooden spikes located around the area several times to launch an Interactive Cutscene in which Lara finally defeats the T-Rex.

Further Information
The Tyrannosaurus Rex was first discovered in Wyoming by famed paleontologist Edward Drinker Cope in 1892. Since it's discovery, the T-Rex has been one of the identifying images of a dinosaur in popular culture. The largest specimen was 42 feet long and 13 feet tall. It's distinguishing features are it's two-fingered, tiny arms, long thick tail and legs, ridges above the eyes and a large mouth containing teeth that were 12 inches at their longest. [1]
