Occurrence

Strategy

The T-Rex is an incredibly lethal adversary. One of the largest enemies in the original game, the T-Rex's long legs make for a large stride that can quickly gain on Lara and it's huge jaws can cause massive damage.

Classic Tomb Raider

In the original Tomb Raider and also in Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III, the T-Rex can be defeated by simply shooting at it. It's good to find a safe spot e.g. a doorway from where to safely shoot this enormous dinosaur, since the it is simply too big and clumsy to follow Lara there.

Explosive Ammunition might come in handy when fighting, since they cause fairly much damage. But finding the ammunition isn't simple because of their rarity, unless one decides to cheat.

Anniversary

In Tomb Raider Anniversary it is almost mandatory to know how to perform an Adrenaline Dodge and a Headshot succesfully to beat the T-Rex. The goal in the fight is to get the enemy to hit the wooden spikes located around the area several times to launch an Interactive Cutscene in which Lara finally defeats the T-Rex.

Relic Run

In Lara Croft: Relic Run Lara comes across a T-Rex in Cambodia. It will attack her from out of the jungle, running alongside her for a while and then trying to eat her. At some point she even rides on its back for a short while. To defeat it she has to fire at it with the weapons at her disposal. Secondary Weapons are preferred, though, because of their higher rate of fire and/or damage. At some point during the fight a round red reticle will appear around the T-Rex's head; Lara has to shot at the head or she will get eaten. When the T-Rex attacks her from the front she has to move to a different lane than its head or, again, she will be eaten.
