Details
The following changes have been made by the upgrades. This is a more detailed list than above including additional comments and player observations. For the most recent version, please refer to the main article, Lara Croft: Relic Run.
Game-play
- With the release of v 1.5.68 (simultaneous to the release of the Mountain Pass level) the game-play has slightly changed:
- The Endless Mode for each location has to be unlocked first by playing its first 20 of the 40 levels.
- Instead of just running the endless mode, Lara now has to master 40 levels in each location. Every odd level is a challenge, where Lara e.g. has to find a certain amount of Coins or run a certain distance to earn Stars. After earning at least one star she is allowed to advance to the next level. In every even level a relic can be found. As before, she has to collect clues to find these and finally find and collect the relic. After finding the relic, the next level is unlocked.
- Before v 1.5.68 the player had to find 15 relics in Jungle Temple in order to unlock Desert Ruins region.
- Afterwards the player had to finish at least 20 levels in Jungle Temple to unlock Desert Ruins, but in-game money could be used to unlock it earlier.
- The same method of progression has been implemented for the Mountain Pass region: At least 20 Levels in the Desert Ruins region have to be finished successfully to unlock it.
