Mr. Wilson is an old friend of the Croft Family, and especially of Lord Richard Croft.
Life
Mr. Wilson is visited by Lara at his workplace, an auction house in London, when she discovers the mysterious clock, also known as the All-Seeing Eye, hidden by her father in Croft Manor. He inspects the artefact for her, but is unable to help her gain new insights.
He later calls Lara on the phone to tell her that she should see a man called Manfred Powell about the clock and that he has given him her number. He's aware that introducing Lara to Powell might have been a mistake and apologizes for it to a picture of Lord Croft, using the words "forgive me".
Judging by the way he acts it is possible that he was part of the Illuminati, just like his friend Lord Croft and that he is still within their grasps, forcing him to help Powell find the clock.
Friends
Wilson is an old friend of the deceased Lord Richard Croft.
