Platinum Trophy

Platinum Trophies are the most valuable Trophies one can achieve on the PlayStation Network.

Platinum Trophies can be found in games for the PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, as well as the PlayStation Vita - there are presently no Tomb Raider Games supporting Trophies for the latter, though. To be awarded Platinum one has to obtain all other trophies in a given game. Platinum Trophies can only be found in full retail games - there are no Platinum Trophies for arcade games, e.g both Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris do not feature Platinum Trophies, although Gold, Silver, and/or Bronze Trophies may be earned.

In general there is no equivalent for Platinum Trophies in the Achievement system used by the Xbox series of consoles or other platforms like Steam or Android.

Tomb Raider Platinum Trophies

There are currently six Tomb Raider Platinum Trophies one can achieve.

Classic Games

The Classic Tomb Raider games up until and including Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness have so far not been re-released for any system supporting trophies.

Legend, Anniversary, Underworld

The following three Tomb Raider Platinum Trophies rank amongst the easier Platinums one can achieve. All three Platinums are on the PlayStation 3:

The biggest difficulty on the way to these trophies is beating the games on hard and finishing all levels in Time Trial mode.

Note that these three games come on one disc in The Tomb Raider Trilogy set - which is the only way to play Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary on the PS3 - as well as separately in the case of Tomb Raider: Underworld. Also, there are generally no trophies in the PS2 versions of these games.

Reboot

The Tomb Raider (2013) Platinums rank higher, as you have to do a certain amount of Multilayer on-line gaming. There is one in the PS3 version of the game and one in the Definitive Edition on PS4.

  • Tomb Raider (2013), PlayStation 3:
πŸ† True Survivor
  • Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, PlayStation 4:
πŸ† True Survivor
Note that this is technically the same Trophy as for the standard PS3 version of the game, but in a different trophy set, so one can achieve both Platinum Trophies if one has both games
πŸ† Platinum (Rise of the Tomb Raider)
