The Triangle of Light is an Artefact Lara finds in 2001.

History

Creation

When at the previous Planetary Alignment approx. 3000 BC (5,000 years before 2001) a meteor falls to the earth, The People of the Light use metal found in the meteor's crater to forge a mystical triangle, which holds the power to control time itself.

Disappearance

The misuse of the artefacts leads to the destruction of the City of Light. To prevent such a thing from happening again, the Triangle is split into two pieces which are hidden at opposite ends of the earth.

Discovery

The first half is discovered in the Tomb of Dancing Light in Cambodia.

The second half lies in Siberia, near the meteorite crater.

Another piece, a "grain of sand" is needed from the All-Seeing Eye clock.

This is the magical triangle I told you about when you were little - The Triangle of Light. But it is no bedtime story. It was forged from metal found in the crater of a meteor that had fallen to earth at the exact moment of the previous alignment of the nine planets. The People of the Light built a great city in this crater where they worshiped the triangle for its ability to control time. It gave its possessor a power that could be used for good or great evil. Their abuse of this power led to the destruction of the city. To be sure no man would ever again wield this power, the triangle was split into two pieces and hid at opposite ends of the earth.

If its two pieces are combined, it will grant the bearer God's power, specifically, the power to control the time: stopping or going back through it.
