Vilcabamba is a location Lara visits in both the original Tomb Raider and its remake Tomb Raider Anniversary.
It's a real life location, the last stronghold of the Incas before the Spanish invaded in the year 1572. [1] The city was founded by Manco Inca in 1539 and its name comes from the Quechua language's word "Willkapampa", meaning "Sacred valley". [2]
