Doctor Willard is the main villain in Tomb Raider III. Of Scottish decent, he meets Lara in the Indian jungle after she had recovered the Infada Stone. After explaining the story involving the HMS Beagle, Willard hires Lara to recover the other 3 Meteorite Artefacts.

Willard owns a company called RX-Tech, pressumably a drilling and mining company. It was him who found the grave of Paul Caulfield, the sailor who died from the HMS Beagle. RX-Tech have uncovered the Lost City of Tinnos and the Meteorite Cavern. Willard and RX-Tech had to mine underneath the ground since the cave which the sailors had entered the cavern, was collapsed.

When Lara meets Willard at his base in Antarctica, he reveals to her the true powers of the artefacts and the Meteorite. Lara disagrees with his intentions but he attempts to shoot her and escapes with the artefacts into the RX-Tech Mines. He assembles the artefacts at the cavern and raises the meteorite from its resting place. He evolves at a tremendous rate into a 4-legged beast with spikes for hands, and a twisted torso. He tries to prevent Lara from removing the artefacts but fails. The artefacts kept him invincible and their removal made him vunerable to gunfire. He died at the feet of Lara.

Powers

Willard's twisted evolved form is the last boss of Tomb Raider III. When the meteorite artefacts are in their respective places within the meteorite cavern, he is invincible, although too much gunfire will make him unconscious for a short while. While conscious, he can manipulate the power of the meteorite and fire pulsating energy balls, from his spkied-hands which seem to be the antennas for concentrating the energy. He also is quite agile in the air, being able to perform a quick 180 degree jump on the spot.
