Imperial Hotel in Calcutta

Calcutta is a city in India.

At the beginning of Tomb Raider / Tomb Raider Anniversary Lara is sitting in the lobby of the Imperial Hotel reading a book, or in the case of Anniversary her father's diary when her long-time foe Larson Conway approaches her with an offer from Jacqueline Natla.

The year was 1997 according to the original game, 1996 according to the remake.
