The Mutant Scientists (or Antarctican Mutants) appear in the Antarctica Section of Tomb Raider III. Originally human, they have been morphed into monstrosities by the power of the meteorite that lies buried in the heart of the Meteorite Cavern.
- crawling Mutant Scientist - These small mutants have a poisonous yellow breath. Lara has to take a Medipack, if she inhales it. Otherwise they cannot do her any harm. And they are pretty slow, since they have to crawl. There are even some that cannot crawl.
- standing Mutant Scientist - The big mutants will attack with their claw arm. They can also run pretty fast. So all Lara can do is fire back. The Desert Eagle or MP5 is recommended.
