The Rifle Upgrades are an upgrade type in the Tomb Raider Reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider (2013)

List of Shotgun Upgrades

There are 9 different rifle upgrades. Unlike Skills (Survivor Upgrades, Hunter Upgrades, and Brawler Upgrades), which are bought with Skill Points, these can be bought by spending Salvage.

Cost: 400 Salvage
Add an alternate firing mode which concentrates the cone of pellets and gives them larger range.
Cost: 400 Salvage
Modified barrel tip applies ignitable fuel to outgoing pellets.
Cost: 325 Salvage
Slotted barrel shroud improves gun handling and increases damage.
Cost: 325 Salvage
Tuned mechanics improve performance for additional damage.
Cost: 300 Salvage
Faster cycle rate between shots improves firing rate.
Cost: 300 Salvage
Padded grip helps steady the weapon for reduced weapon kick.
Cost: 300 Salvage
Wrapped folding stock further steadies the weapon while firing.
Cost: 350 Salvage
Removes need to load shells individually for faster reloading.
Cost: 400 Salvage
Improves Reload Speed an doubles magazine size to 12.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

As with all weapons in Rise of the Tomb Raider, the Shotguns can be upgraded at any of the Base Camps. A certain amount of Resources is needed. Most Upgrades apply to all Shotguns, but some are specific to a certain type (e.g. Pump-action vs. Full-auto).

Tier I

Cost:
A forcing cone produces more concentrated shot patterns for increased damage.
Applied to all shotguns.
Cost:
Rapid fire mod increases the cycling speed of each shot into the chamber for faster firing.
Applied to all pump action and tactical shotguns.
Cost: 16 Hide, 1 Exotic Hide
A mor comfortable grip means less overexertion while firing for less recoil.
Applied to all shotguns.
Cost:
Metal sheathing protects the user from a heated barrel, allowing for faster reloading.
Applied to all shotguns.
Cost:
More shells can be held in the tube mag for increased ammo capacity between reloads.
Applied to all pump-action and tactical shotguns.

Tier II

Cost:
Extra trigger sensitivity allows for easier and faster firing.
Applied to all shotguns except full auto.
Cost:
Clean ejecting of shells reduce jams for faster reloading.
Applied to all shotguns except break-action.
Cost:
Improved grip on weapon, reducing recoil.
Applied to all break-action shotguns.
Cost:
A larger magazine allows for more shots to be fired before the need to reload.
Applied to all full auto shotguns.

Tier III

Cost:
Wider barrel diameter means more shot can be loaded for increased damage.
Applied to all shotguns.
Cost:
Shells can be ejected from the barrel when opened, speeding reload times.
Applied to all break-action shotguns.
Cost:
Weighted muzzle stabilizes the weapon when firing, reducing recoil.
Applied to all pump and break-action shotguns.
Cost:
Refined feeder mechanism means less jamming for a higher rate of fire.
Applied to all full auto shotguns.
Cost: 15 Salvage, 9 Technical Parts
A large capacity drum significantly increases shot capacity between reloads.
Applied to all full auto shotguns.
Cost:
Redirects gases released when firing to counter recoil and unwanted rising of the barrel.
Applied to all tactical shotguns.
Cost:

Tier IV

Cost:
Precision mod increases the speed with which shells can be reloaded.
Applied to all pump-action shotguns.
Cost: 6 Hide, 20 Salvage
A custom-fit pump handle allows for a more natural hold and decreased recoil.
Applied to all pump-action shotguns.
Cost:
Smoother break-action motion improves reload speed with quicker access to shells.
Applied to all break-action shotguns.
Cost: 8 Hardwood, 15 Hide, 3 Technical Parts
Adjusted stock design balances gun weight for increased recoil stability.
Applied to all break-action shotguns.
Requirements: Upgrade: Padded Grip
Cost: 20 Salvage, 2 Chromite Ore, 5 Technical Parts
A modified drum means quicker switching of ammo magazines and higher reload speeds.
Applied to all full auto shotguns.
Requirements: Upgrade: Large Drum Magazine
Cost: 20 Salvage, 3 Technical Parts
Makeshift sight allows for better aiming and thus, a higher rate of fire.
Applied to all tactical shotguns.
