Professor Eddington is a character playing a role in Tomb Raider Underworld though he doent acctually make an appearance.
He could point Lara in the direction her father had taken by telling her the coordinates Lord Croft wanted to investigate next. He could not tell her if the existence of a ruin at the location had been confirmed.[1]
