The Sanglyph, also known as The Blood Sign, is an artefact of ancient power created by the Black Alchemist, Pieter Van Eckhardt. It was made in five metallic parts and hidden.
Lara guesses that these symbols were the ones in the Obscura Paintings.
HISTORY OF THE SUPPRESSION OF THE BLACK ALCHEMIST AND HIS WORKS BY THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE LUX VERITATIS - YEAR OF SALVATION 1461.
The Black Alchemist, Eckhardt, was to use his devilish arts to awaken the Sleeper and breed a new race of Nephilim. For this he created the Sanglyph forged of five metallic symbols.
