The PlayStation is the first Video Game Console build by Sony and a major success, laying the foundation for all PlayStation branded consoles that followed. Over 100 Million consoles were sold until it was discontinued in 2006.
Release
The PS was first released on December 3, 1994 in Japan, September 9, 1995 in North America, September 29, 1995 in Europe and November 15, 1995 in Australia. The rest of the world followed in 1996.
Technical
The PlayStation used a MIPS Processor as a CPU.
Models
