Tomb Raider Legacy is a German non-profit fan film project started in 2013 by Petra Pausch and Nora Rüdiger and released in 2017. It is a adaption of the Reboot Game. The complete movie is 49 Minutes long an can be viewed on YouTube (with English sub titles).

Story

Auf der Suche nach dem Königreich Yamatai verschlägt es die junge Archäologin Lara Croft an Bord des Expeditonsschiffs "Endurance" in die Nähe von Japan. Unter der Leitung ihres ehemaligen Uni Porfessors Dr. Whitman möchte sie sich selber einen Namen machen und das verschollene Königreich der Sonnenkönigin Himiko entdecken. Ihre beste Freundin und Filmemacherin Samantha Nishimura, Sam, darf natürlich nicht fehlen. Als die Suche zunächst erfolglos verläuft, schlägt Lara voller Überzeugung vor, das von Stürmen heimgesuchte Drachenviereck zu erkunden. Der Kapitän, Conrad Roth, der ebenfalls Laras langjähriger Freund und Mentor ist, entscheidet sich ihrem Bauchgefühl entgegen von Dr. Whitmans Einwänden zu vertrauen.

Am 22. Expeditionstag wird das Schiff von einem starken Sturm überrascht und sinkt. Zum Glück schaffen es Lara und ihre Freunde sich auf eine nahegelegene Insel zu retten.

Doch der Sturm war erst der Anfang zu einem großen Abenteuer...

Translation:

While looking for the kingdom of Yamatai young archaeologist Lara Croft gets thrown off course to Japan on board of the research ship "Endurance". Guided by her former university professor Dr. Whitman she tries to make a name for herself by finding the lost kingdom of sun queen Himiko. Her best friend and film maker Samantha Nishimura, Sam, joins her. As the search turns out to be fruitless at first, Lara suggests full of enthusiasm to explore the storm haunted Dragon's Triangle. Captain Conrad Roth, also a long time friend and mentor of Lara's, decides to follow her gut feeling despite Dr. Whitman's reservations.

On the 22nd day of the expedition the ship is surprised by a heavy storm and sinks. Luckily Lara and her friends manage to save themselves to a nearby island.

The storm however was only the prelude to a big adventure...
