Accidentally spotted this article. Lara at the Movies isn't part of the Back to Basics series, although it could be considered the project that spawned its creation. Back in 2002-2003, Michael approached level designers whose offerings were most popular and pitched the idea of a collaborative project, which at the time was merely called "The Gold Project". I don't know how the idea of making it around movies came along, but anyway, that's a completely different subject. Back to Basics came along the following year, idea of George Maciver. The initial pitch was to see if the original TRLE resources could be used to create levels in the same standards people became used to with all edited objects and textures and whatnot. From there, it became an yearly challenge among the community, even if nowadays the only ties the project has to the original concept is that participating builders cannot edit or customize the resources in any way whatsoever. Not too confident about running guns-blazing and editing the article itself, but I might give it a shot and bring it up to speed with the latest competition themes. --Treeble (talk) 00:57, 2 September 2016 (CEST)

: Sounds like you already did some solid research. Just have a go at it! I'd much appreciate it since I rarely play any custom levels at all and have no clue about any of the different approaches the level builders have. I guess all the other articles concerning the Level Editor (especially the NGLE) and Custom Levels need a an overhaul, too... they are mostly stubs... --[[User:Wile E. Coyote|Wile E. :: Not really a whole lot of reasearch per se as I used to be very active in the TRLE scene at the time, so I was present when most of it went from inception to fruition (the fact I still remember tells more about me than it should)... I'll come up with something over the next few days and have a look through the other TRLE stubs, see if I can flesh them out. By the way, I think many people still see LatM as a landmark, so I don't want it removed entirely, but rather moved to its own article, separate from BtB. I'll get on it shortly, just want to wrap up a few other TR things I'm working atm first. --Treeble (talk) 00:58, 3 September 2016 (CEST)

This article is getting too long. Might make sense to split it into different articles using the mainarticle template.--tombraidergirl 13:37, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Lara at the Movies removal
