Perseus is a figure from Greek mythology. With the help of Athena Perseus was the first who succeeded at beheading the Medusa. The astronomical constellation Perseus is named after him.
In Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary level Greece - St. Francis Folly Lara encounters several murals depicting Perseus holding Medusa's head in his left hand and a sword in his right. To solve the Perseus Riddle all the stars have to be lit up.
