Optional Tombs (also Hidden Tombs or Secret Tombs) are a feature in Tomb Raider (2013).
They are tombs that are hidden to the game locations, and the paintings on the rocks and walls can be used as guides to the tombs. Whenever an Optional Tomb is nearby, a text appears to the screen: "Map location updated. Secret tomb nearby." Completing an Optional Tomb awards the player with additional XP.
There is a total of seven Hidden Tombs in the game and there is one additional downloadable tomb available for purchase.

- Located at the Mountain Village
- Another Optional Tomb located at the Mountain Village
- Located at Shantytown
- Another Optional Tomb located at the Shantytown
- Located at Summit Forest
- Located at Shipwreck Beach
- Another Optional Tomb located at the Shipwreck Beach
Additional Optional Tomb
- A downloadable additional Optional Tomb that is located at the Coastal Forest after purchasing and downloading
