The PlayStation 2 (short PS2) is a gaming console by Sony. It has sold over 90 Million units and is the only console which offered The Angel of Darkness.
It is the first using the term Next Generation console, which was later used by Microsoft for their XBox 360, which is in fact a completely new generation. Consoles of the same generation are the XBox and Nintendos Gamecube.
The PlayStation 2 is the successor of the PlayStation, which played a major role in making the Tomb Raider franchise a big success. In November 2006 the PlayStation 3 will be released.
