Obscura Paintings
The Obscura Paintings are five 14th century pieces of art. The were thought to be linked to Alchemy and the dark arts.

They are images painted on thick wooden bases, like Russian icons. The images were created by the Black Alchemist Pieter Van Eckhardt in the 13 or 1400's. Together the Paintings hide something called the Sanglyph or The Blood Sign. Each painting has a metallic symbol of power built into it.

The Paintings were seized by the Lux Veritatis from Eckhardt in the late 1400's and painted over with religious imagery by Brother Obscura. After that the paintings were hidden. But Brother Obscura made secret copies of the paintings, the Obscura Engravings.

The Cabal were already in posession of three of the paintings, when they hired Werner to get the fourth for them in Paris.
