The Guardian of the Kingdom is an opponent in The Golden Mask. It is very much like the Guardian of the Talion encountered in the Ice Palace in Tomb Raider II, except for that it is a dark golden colour instead of grey, and wears some golden armour. The attacks are the same as those of the Guardian of the Talion. It is recommended to shoot at the Guardian using a powerful weapon, and to keep Lara moving and out of reach.
This opponent makes two appearances in the game.
The first time is in its natural habitat in the Kingdom. In this level you can find a chamber with a magical bridge, in which you can capture the Guardian and take him out easily.
The second time is in a hotel in the Nightmare in Vegas bonus level, where the Guardian is locked in a cage (poor thing). Lara needs to kill it to finish the level.
