As the name suggest, the location of the level is Venice.
This level was available as demo, as was the level The Great Wall.

Story

Lara travels to Venice in search of a man called Bartoli. She hacks into the laptop she finds in the level The Great Wall and decides to search there.

Alternative Method For Completing The Level
The level can be completed in two ways: on foot or using the motorboat.
When completing the level on foot, it isn't necessary to find the Boathouse Key. One can go directly to the sewer swimming instead. Also, it's not necessary to turn the lever that changes the water level to raise the boat or open doors, because one can swim down them. In addition when going on foot one can go straight to open the clock door, because although it opens, if you go swimming, will not ring the bell and the Aquatic Mines won't explode.
Use the boat can be considered the "legal" method, but it is longer.
