Gate of the Dead is the sixteenth level in Tomb Raider Underworld and the first in the Jan Mayen Island Section.

Objective

• Drive down to Valgrind, the gate into Valhalla.
• Place the energy stones into the receptacles of the tower.
• Align the blue symbol on each of the four levels of the tower to activate the four energy beams to open Valgrind.

• Viking Thralls

The only opponents in this level are the Viking thralls. They can be run over with the motorcycle.

Rewards

For racing the bike from top to the bottom in under 50 seconds PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers can get the trophy/achievement Speed Demon III.

As there are many thralls to run over, it is also a good spot to try Roadkiller and Master Roadkiller.
