Angkor Wat, which is a famous temple complex in Cambodia (see: Angkor), is the title of the first level in The Last Revelation. Angkor Wat was built as the main temple and capital city of the Khmer kingdom in Cambodia under King Suryavarman II in the early twelth century.

The level consists of a long, obstacle filled passageway that leads to a large room that is mostly taken up by a pool of water. From here, the player proceeds to an outdoor area and a series of gates and seals. Finally, there is the Garden of the Five Towers, where Lara will choose either the Route of the Virtuous or the Path of the Heretical, depending on the number of Golden Skulls that she has picked up along the way.

Story

1984:

At the age of 16 Lara journeyed with her mentor Werner Von Croy to Cambodia to explore the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. Werner guides his pupil through the first part of the archaeological site and then challenges her to a race. (see: Race for the Iris)
