The Raising Column found in Egypt - Obelisk of Khamoon in Tomb Raider Anniversary can be considered an improved Raising Block as known from the Classic era. It is a timed column that is lowered by a Jump Switch and raises on its own once the lever is released. Lara needs to get on top to be taken upwards.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris sees a variety of Raising Blocks making their appearance. Some can be permanently raised by using a trigger, others are equipped with an Osiris Glyph and can be raised temporarily using the Staff of Osiris. Some even turn out to be Spiked Columns or even moving spiked columns.
- Pyramid of Osiris
- There are several raising blocks in the first level, Pyramid of Osiris. The first is a set of two blocks that are raised by lighting two Braziers. The later raising blocks are mainly raised by use of the Staff of Osiris, as they are equipped with an Osiris glyph. In the room with the Sun Balls puzzle there are circular raising blocks with Osiris glyphs that turn out to the Spiked Columns.
- Overworld: Khepri Amphitheater
- In the centre arena of the Khepri Amphitheater Lara stumbles into a trap set by Set, here she finds two spiked column raising blocks that are rotating around the centre piece, a columned stone cage with a Sun Ball trapped inside.
Lara Croft GO
