Coin Crates are located in the background of the combat sequences in Lara Croft: Relic Run; e.g. in the Jungle Temple Level one has to shoot them while simultaneously fighting the Lizard Men. This can be tricky as the lizards are also throwing their spears at Lara. When Lara manages to shoot one of these crates she gains the coins contained within.
Additionally there are Health Crates located in these sequences. If hit they fill up some of Lara's Health Bar. There also are Ammo Crates located in these combat sequences that contain Ammo for the Secondary Weapon.
