Dart Traps are the first traps Lara encounters in Tomb Raider, they can be found in many of the games afterwards.
When Lara follows the footprints of wolves in the first Level of Tomb Raider 1, she will come past the first set. They are not poisonous. You can identify them by the slots in the walls. They can be found throughout Peru.
There are two ways to get past. Either just run or swandive over them. The last method is far to complicated to get right.
In Tomb Raider 3 Dart Traps can be poisonous. If Lara gets hit, she has to take a medipack. But fortunately since Tomb Raider 3, Lara can also crawl. In most cases you can crawl underneath them.
