+Rumours about a takeover of Eidos started surfacing as early as 2004. In 2005 the company was taken over by SCi Entertainment, another British software manufacturer. In this takeover, however, Eidos remaind as a independent part of the now bigger company. Finally, in 2009 SCI was taken over by [[Square Enix]], who subsequently fully integrated the company.
