A big day for the [[Tomb Raider Fans]]: Not only does the new [[Tomb Raider (2018)|Tomb Raider Movie]] official get into the cinemas around the world, today [[Square Enix]] also announced the title and the release date of the upcoming 11th [[Tomb Raider Games|Tomb Raider Game]]. The long [[Shadow of the Tomb Raider#History of the Title "Shadow of the Tomb Raider"|rumoured]] title of '''Shadow of the Tomb Raider''' has finally been confirmed.

The new game will be released on September 14th 2018 for all major platforms, including [[Xbox One]] and One X, [[PlayStation 4]] and PS4 Pro, as well as [[PC]]. There will be no renewal of the exclusivity deal like with its predecessor, [[Rise of the Tomb Raider]].

The stylized O in the title of the game that resembles a solar eclipse has spurred rumours as to the story and whether it is an allusion to the movement of any of the celestial bodies of our solar system.

No further information was available at first, but taking a closer look at the source code of the page revealed the title and the release date:
