The Motorboat is one of the vehicles in Tomb Raider II. Lara finds it in the Venice section.

There are two ways to get into the boat. Either you swim to one of the sides and press Action to climb inside, or you run or jump into it from a jetty, she will automatically land onto it without pressing any button. Use the directional buttons to drive ahead, backwards or to steer left or right. There is a turbo mode for the boat. Hit Action to activate it. Careful, if you hit anything while the turbo is active, Lara will take damage. To get out of the boat, come to a halt and press jump along with left or right. Lara can either jump into the water or onto a jetty.

There is one part in the game, at the end of Venice, the entrance to Bartoli's Hideout where you have to drive full speed towards a set of water mines. Lara has to jump out, while the boat has to go on to detonate the mines. If she does not get out, she will explode along with the boat.
At another part of the game, Lara has to take the boat at full speed up a ramp.
Barkhang Monastery is a level in Tomb Raider II. Lara reaches the Monastery desribed by the dying monk back in the Diving Area level to gain access to the Talion, which opens the door to the Temple of Xian, by the use of the Seraph.

It is a common practice to not shoot at the monks, and they are the first time in Tomb Raider history that Lara encounters who are not hostile at her, with the exception of Winston, but Lara may simply did not have the weapons to kill him. Also the monks will help Lara throughout the level by attacking the mercenaries who arrived there before Lara. Simply one shot at the monks will turn every inhibitat of the monastery against Lara, dramatically changing the difficulty of the level. However when the monks are busy fighting the mercenaries, a few stray bullets at the monks will sometimes be ignored. Due to the lack of avaliablitily to switch targets in the game's auto-aiming system, it's best for the player to just observe the battle and finish off the rest if the monks died.

During the course of the level Lara travels around the monastery and surrounding mountains for five Prayer Wheels, uncovered by the use of keys and gemstones, to gain access to the Seraph Chamber. The main tourist attraction of this level is the giant four-armed-buddha statue, situated in the grand hall which serves as the central hub of this non-linear level.
Temple of Xian is a level in Tomb Raider II.
At the beginning you see the Dagger of Xian in front of you, but as you go towards it you fall through a trap-door. Throughout the level along to really creepy music and being genuinely scared you find yourself by it again. However someone has beaten you and they are carried off into the Floating Islands after plunging the dagger into their heart.

The word Xian could be perceived by how the Chinese term is translated, as it could be one word for an immortal (仙, xian), or the location that the area is based, Xī'ān (西安), the capital of Shaanxi province in China and a sub-provincial city. Known as one of the most important cities in Chinese history, Xi'an is listed as one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China because it has been the capital of 13 dynasties, including the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang. Xi'an is also the eastern end of the Silk Road. However, it was called Chang'an (Traditional Chinese: 長安; Simplified Chinese: 长安, pinyin: Cháng'ān; literally "Perpetual Peace") in ancient times, when it used to be the captial of China. The Dagger of Xian is believed to be from the Qin period (due to the history of a tyrant, the First Emperor, who was looking for a way to be immortal), hence it would be called Cheng'an instead. The Dagger of Immortality sounds more feasible, while the temple itself could be debated. However among most Chinese fanbase the term Xian in Tomb Raider II are always translated as 西安, the modern name of the city.

This level is among the longest in Tomb Raider II, where Lara encounters various traps and enemies based upon Chinese legends and stories. Such as the spider cave is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature, with the name of 盤絲洞, literally the Cave of Tangled Silk.
