Announcement Video Opening Sequence

The Tomb Raider Suite is the title of an upcoming musical release that includes music inspired by the first three Classic Tomb Raider games. It is written by Nathan McCree, the composer for these games, and will be performed by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. Planned release formats include CD, vinyl record, and digital download.[1] After a successful Kickstarter fund-raiser campaign it will be released in Fall of 2017.

The Tomb Raider Suite is a re-recording of the songs performed in December 2016 in London at the Tomb Raider Concert.

Artists Involved

Recording will take place Monday, 16 October 2017 - 3 recording sessions - and Tuesday, 17 October 2017 - 2 recording sessions.

Kickstarter Campaign

On 24 April 2017 Nathan McCree, the creator of the Tomb Raider Suite announced a Kickstarter campaign on Twitter[3] and YouTube[4] to finance the creation of the recording. According the the video, recording of the songs will take place at the Abbey Road Recording Studios in London during the summer of 2017.

The Kickstarter launched in the middle of May 2017[5][6]. Up until 6 June it had gathered about half of the targeted 160,000£. When the campaign ended on Sunday, June 25 2017 at 1 a.m. CEST, it had collected over 194,000£ from 2,615 backers. Nathan will thus be able to meet some of his stretch goals, like adding additional musicians to the orchestra, giving the recordings an even richer sound. On 12 July 2017 he e.g. announced that the size of the choir will be increased from 20 to 40 members.[7]

During the campaign Nathan held a live Q&A session where fans could ask him questions about the project. A video recording can be found on YouTube.[8]
