The Nephilim - from ENOCHIAN gospels - were the hybrid offspring of angels and humans. They were exterminated in biblical times.
They were believed to be able to change their physical appearance. (A little hint, that Karel might in fact be a Nephilim???)
They lived in Turkey in biblical times. They are now extinct.
The Sleeper or Cubiculum Nephili is the last intact specimen.
Prophecy: "Through the Golden Lion the Nephilim will enslave the sons of man and inherit the Earth."
The lion mentioned here, is probably the one shown in the illustration of the three Periapt Shards.
