The '''Bestiary''' is a book found on a remote island near Ireland by Lara when she was a teenager. It contained a list of the names of all demons that existed. Lara needed the book to name the demon [[Verdilet]] who had taken [[Father Dunstan]] hostage. Once you name a demon, you have control over it. The bestiary was left in Ireland at the very spot where Verdilet disapparated.
  
In fact a bestiary is in most cases a medieval manuscript, containing descriptions of animals- the existing ones and those mythological and fantastic, like for example centaur or unicorn. Beasts described in such books were to present human characteristics and sometimes became even symbols of some features, like the dove= innocence, the lion= brave.

Lara needed the book to name the demon Verdilet who had taken Father Dunstan hostage. Once you name a demon, you have control over it. The bestiary was left in Ireland at the very spot where Verdilet disapparated.
