An Avalanche is a trap that consists of snow rapidly rushing down a slope. These avalanches appear in Tomb Raider II and The Golden Mask.
In some cases you can jump over the snowballs, in others you better get out of the way.
Similar Traps
Instead of taking the large risk of jumping over them it is better to dodge them. If you are running up a hill for example and then it starts coming down, hit the roll button and run down that hill whilst pushing the jump button. Once in a roomy spot side flip to dodge it.
