Xibalba is a location Lara visits in Tomb Raider Underworld.

Xibalba is the name of the underworld in Maya mythology. In the 16th century, entrance to it was believed to be in caves either in Guatemala or Belize. The underworld is ruled by twelve powerful gods known as the Lords of Xibalba.[1]

Tomb Raider Underworld

After completing the Maya Calendar and successfully racing through the revealed entrance of Xibalba, Lara finds herself inside the Maya underworld. There she travels further inside to the underworld, coming across a large hall, where the statues of Lords of Xibalba are. Her objective is to open a passageway underneath the central platform placed in the middle of the statues. The passageway leads to a chamber further below, where the Thor's Belt waits to be found.

Xibalba - Place of Fear. It's unclear whether Xibalba was thought to be a supernatural afterlife or a city of people who worshipped death. Commonly believed to have been in Guatemala, it appears Xibalba is farther to the northwest than previously thought. If the pattern of Thor's artifacts giving rise to local underworld myths hold, then I might find things akin to the thrall tigers my father brought back from Bhogavati, Thailand.
